"My heart exploded": Larry Emdur reflects on his daughter's wedding day

Larry Emdur shares emotional first dance with his daughter

<p>Larry Emdur has shared a behind the scenes glimpse at his daughter's wedding day, sharing the emotional moment they shared their father-daughter dance. </p> <p>The Morning Show host walked his daughter Tia, 24, down the aisle as she married her long-term boyfriend Rowell Jauco at Sydney's St Mary's Cathedral on Saturday. </p> <p>Larry posted a photo of the moment he gave his daughter away, and also shared a small clip of their father-daughter dance together at the wedding reception. </p> <p>In the clip, Larry was every inch the father of the bride as the pair tenderly danced to the classic hit <em>Lean On Me</em>, performed by friend and performer Guy Sebastian.</p> <p>On Sunday, the TV star wrote a heartfelt essay about the big day, writing, “Yesterday was one of the happiest, most tearful days of my life.”</p> <blockquote class="instagram-media" style="background: #FFF; "Cringe worthy": Viewers left speechless after star attacks Elmo

<p>Viewers were left shocked after comedian Larry David unexpectedly attacked Elmo during their appearance on the latest episode of the <em>US Today show</em>.</p> <p>The 76-year-old was there to promote the final season of <em>Curb Your Enthusiasm</em>, while Elmo was in the studio alongside his dad Louie to talk about the importance of mental health resources. </p> <p>As the show was transitioning from segment to segment, David walked over to Elmo and smushed his face in before taking a swing at Elmo's dad. </p> <p>The attack caught the show's hosts Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin, off-guard and they began shouting at his ill-timed act. </p> <p>“Oh, my gosh, you love Elmo, don’t you?” Guthrie said to David as an equally shocked Melvin exclaimed, “Oh, my God!”</p> <p>While Elmo didn't seem too bothered by the encounter, the 76-year-old was lectured by muppet dad Louie for his strange act. </p> <p>“Ask permission before you touch people, Larry,” Louie said.</p> <p>“Get back on the couch and let’s talk about how you feel,” Elmo added.</p> <p>Guthrie also called out David's inappropriate act and said: “Larry, you’ve gone too far this time." </p> <p>Although the <em>Seinfeld </em>star was later on forced to apologise to the plush duo and Elmo accepted his apology, the situation left many viewers disgruntled, given the topic matter that Elmo was there to discuss. </p> <p>“Larry David ruined a beautiful story,” one person commented on a video of the segment shared to Instagram. </p> <p>“I felt like I was watching Will Smith all over again. “Babies!”: Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies stun fans with throwback pics

<p>The Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies have delighted fans with throwback footage from their earlier years on TV.</p> <p>The hosts were presenting a story on how our voices change and get deeper as we age and to prove their point, they decided to do their own demonstration.</p> <p>Both Emdur and Gillies took turns saying sentences they used to say when they were reporting decades ago, then compared it to how their younger selves would say it.</p> <p>They anticipated the throwback footage with slightly worried expressions and Gillies was up first.</p> <p>Her voice was considerably higher and softer and she rocked the classic haircut from the '90s and 2000s that was heavily influenced by “Rachel” from Friends.</p> <p>“There you go,” Gillies said, mildly cringing.</p> <p>“We were young. It was 23 years ago,” she added.</p> <p>Emdur’s throwback footage went all the way back to the '80s when he was reporting for 7News.</p> <p>“How good is that?” Larry laughed at the video.</p> <p>“Button-down collars, my Dad’s old woollen tie.</p> <p>“Here’s the thing. We were kids, right? I was trying very hard to, you know, sound like a man,” he quipped while deepening his voice.</p> <p>“Between that age and this age, I know what’s happened to me and my voice!”</p> <p>The duo giggled at the hair and make-up from the '90s and reminisced on how young they were.</p> <p>“I had the full kick-out hairstyle!” Gillies commented.</p> <p>“Our voices have DROPPED,” Larry added.</p> <p>“Babies!” Kylie added. “Look at us now!”</p> <p><em>Images: The Morning Show</em></p>

“My sex statue is famous”: Larry Emdur reacts to X-rated home reveal

<p dir="ltr"><em>The Morning Show</em> host Larry Emdur has been making a name for himself in the world of game show TV for a few years hosting<em> The Chase Australia</em>, but despite his success, he’s still had his sights set on one more goal: making an appearance on the<em> Have You Been Paying Attention?</em> series. </p> <p dir="ltr">And now, it seems like Larry’s dream has come true, though not exactly in the way he might have expected. </p> <p dir="ltr">The popular host and his wife, Sylvie, have had their hands full recently trying to sell their Kangaroo Valley retreat, better known as Sky Ridge. </p> <p dir="ltr">And while pictures of the property and its picturesque surrounds are available thanks to Belle Property, it wasn’t the property’s luxury four bedrooms or sweeping views that saw it get a mention on the Channel 10 game show.</p> <p dir="ltr">Instead, it was a statue situated in the home’s main living space that caught their attention, with <em>Have You Been Paying Attention? </em>host Tom Gleisner asking his panel if they knew why Larry’s holiday home had gone viral throughout the week. </p> <p dir="ltr">Ed Kavalee was quick to suggest that it was because “the price was right”, while Sam Pang asked if it was because “it has to do with the backyard, they found a shallow grave?”</p> <p dir="ltr">Kavalee eventually got to the right answer, revealing that “there was, like, a pornographic statue in there.”</p> <p dir="ltr">The statue in question could be found perched on top of Larry’s dining room table, and appeared to catch two people caught up in the moment having “X-rated raunchy sex”, as Larry himself put it. </p> <p dir="ltr">The <em>HYBPA?</em> audience found it hilarious, and thankfully, Larry was more than happy to see the funny side of it all, too. </p> <p dir="ltr">Taking to social media after learning about his unexpected cameo, Larry shared that he’d “always wanted to be on <em>Have You Been Paying Attention?</em> but not for a disgraceful reason like this.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“My sex statue is famous,” he added, before sharing details of the property and that “YES !!!! Larry Emdur celebrates overwhelming success of The Chase

<p>The Aussie game show <em>The Chase</em> has achieved overwhelming success, with the series recently receiving the highest ratings out of every entertainment show on TV.</p> <p>The show, hosted by Larry Emdur, appeared on Seven in 2015, and consistently rises above its direct rival, Nine’s <em>Hot Seat</em> with Eddie McGuire, proving victorious in 2022 after winning 40 weeks with a total audience of 829,000.</p> <p>By May 23, it attracted the largest audience of all TV entertainment programs, including those in the 7:30pm prime time slot.</p> <p><em>The Chase</em>, which airs at 5pm, saw a staggering 567,000 viewers across the five-city metro rankings on May 23, well ahead of<em> Hot Seat</em>, which raked in 408,000.</p> <p>It also beat some of the other prime time broadcasts, including Ten’s <em>MasterChef Australia</em>, which aired to 427,000 households. Seven’s <em>Highway Patrol</em> that received 350,000, ABC’s <em>7:30</em> report which came in at 438,000 and Nine’s new reality show <em>The Summit</em>, which had 395,000 viewers.</p> <p>Additionally, <em>The Chase</em> trumped <em>The Project</em>, which aired at 7pm to 307,000 viewers. The only programs that were ahead of <em>The Chase</em> were the Seven and Nine early evening news bulletins and <em>A Current Affair</em>.</p> <p>Emdur, who took over on the show in 2021 after former host Andrew O’Keefe’s contract wasn’t renewed, celebrated the show’s huge win on Instagram.</p> <p>He shared a photo of his TV screen showing one of the Chasers, ‘The Governess’ Anne Hegerty, and thanked fans of the show for tuning in each afternoon.</p> <p>“Thank you for making The Chase the number 1 Entertainment show in Australia [Tuesday] night,” he wrote.</p> <p>“We had a bigger audience between 5-6pm than the big dogs in prime time, that makes me a very proud old game show host bimbo.”</p> <p>And its success over the “big dogs” wasn’t a one-off, with <em>The Chase</em> once again trumping the ratings over prime time programs on May 25 with 543,000 viewers, ahead of <em>MasterChef</em> (390,000), Nine’s NRL coverage (338,000) and <em>Home And Away</em> (451,000).</p> <p>The show’s success comes amid reports that channel Nine is testing new formats in its 5pm slot to bump up the competition.</p> <p>In April, the network denied rumours that <em>Hot Seat</em> was being cut, despite putting out casting calls for new game shows.</p> <p>The series started airing in 2009 as a spin-off of <em>Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? </em>which McGuire also hosted from 1999 until 2006.</p> <p>However, a recent casting call fuelled rumours <em>Hot Seat</em> could be axed to make way for a local version of the hit UK game show <em>Tipping Point</em>, which airs on Nine at 3pm.</p> <p>An official call-out from Endemol Shine Australia, the production company that makes <em>Tipping Point</em>, was released on Twitter in April, revealing the show was filming “Australian episodes” in the UK.</p> <p>A move to record local episodes of <em>Tipping Point</em> follows similar plans from Nine to make Aussie episodes of US quiz show <em>Jeopardy!</em></p> <p>The network confirmed in April that British comedian Stephen Fry would host a six-part special featuring Australian contestants. Larry Emdur slammed for "rude" coronation meme

And go and follow people on Insta who make you happy, make you smile and bring you joy. All the best," he added.</p> <p>Emdur was flooded with support for his classy response.</p> <p>"Larry, you are the most funniest person ever. Larry Emdur breaks his silence on replacing Kochie rumours

<p dir="ltr">Larry Emdur has spoken out about whether or not he will be tipped to replace Kochie on <em>Sunrise </em>when he retires. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>The Morning Show</em> host spoke on <em>The Kyle and Jackie Show</em> and said he was not in the running for the co-hosting job on Sunrise, which is considered one of the most high-profile and important roles at Channel Seven.</p> <p dir="ltr">When asked by host Kyle Sandilands if he was being considered for Koch's job, Emdur swiftly hosed down the speculation.</p> <p dir="ltr">“No. <em>The Morning Show</em> is unreal. [I've done it for] 15 years,” he said.</p> <p dir="ltr">The network has yet to announce who will be filling the high-profile spot when Kochie retires at the end of next year, but possible candidates include fill-in host Matt Shirvington and<em> Weekend Sunrise</em> anchor Matt Doran.</p> <p dir="ltr">Rumours also recently surfaced that Dr Chris Brown could be in the running for the job, after it was announced he was <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/news/news/the-doctor-is-out-chris-brown-changes-the-script" target="_blank" rel="noopener">leaving Channel Ten</a> last week.</p> <p dir="ltr">When Sandilands quizzed Emdur about the new rumours, he quickly shut them down. </p> <p dir="ltr">“What, is Chris going to sit there for three hours in the morning talking about sick dogs? How's that going to work?” Larry said.</p> <p dir="ltr">Kochie, 66, is in the middle of planning his retirement, but has committed to staying at Seven's breakfast show for at least another two years.</p> <p dir="ltr">He signed a contract extension in October 2022, locking him in until the end of 2024, but negotiated for “greater flexibility” in his schedule.</p> <p dir="ltr">Seven Network CEO James Warburton was able to convince Kochie to put off his retirement plans for another two years, but agreed to draw up a contract allowing the long-serving anchor “to take more breaks from the show according to his requirements”, according to reports by <a href="https://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/david-koch-extends-deal-with-sunrise-for-two-years/news-story/331aa79789f8b0009adfcde980c0add3">The Australian</a>.</p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Image credits: Seven</em></p>

“I’ll never speak to him again”: Samuel Johnson blows up at Molly Meldrum

<p>While speaking to Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies on <em>The Morning Show</em>, a visibly upset Samuel Johnson blew up over 79-year-old Molly Meldrum’s bizarre behaviour at a recent Elton John concert. </p> <p>Meldrum issued an apology for the <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/music/a-naughty-boy-who-needs-a-new-belt-molly-meldrum-s-excuse-for-mooning-elton-john-s-crowd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“faulty belt buckle” incident</a>, telling the <em>Herald Sun</em> that he “shouldn’t have ventured on stage, but I just wanted to tell Elton that I loved him. Some people thought it was part of the show. It wasn’t. Elton had no idea I was going to jump on stage. Elton might have been singing The Bitch Is Back but it was more a case of the idiot is back.”</p> <p>Now Johnson has revealed something of a rift between himself and Meldrum – whom he portrayed in the 2016 miniseries “Molly”, and was rewarded for his efforts with a coveted Gold Logie. </p> <p>It was during that 2017 Gold Logie acceptance speech that Meldrum mounted the stage and stole Johnson’s “million-dollar moment” when he was trying to raise funds for cancer, which claimed the life of his sister Connie.</p> <p>Johnson told hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies that he has not said a word to Meldrum since that incident.</p> <p>“I’ll never speak to him again. He cost my charity a million dollars that night</p> <p>“I want to do him a service, not a disservice. I am a little bit uneasy talking about this.</p> <p>“Firstly, thank you, Molly. He has helped me out of a legal pickle and I’ve known him for 20 years. He visited my sister in hospital when she was sick with cancer when she was 11 in the 1980s.</p> <p>“I am really grateful for everything Molly has done in our lives. But at the same time, when I won the Gold Logie I was about to have my million-dollar moment and I told him specifically not to come on stage. He was not nominated, it was my moment.</p> <p>“I wanted to make it about cancer and he wanted to make it about the network. He ended up coming up at the Gold Logies and it was my million-dollar moment gone wrong,” Johnson fumed.</p> <p>“It was an absolute catastrophe. He warbled in a very drunken fashion for eight whole minutes. Now I have seen him do it again at the Elton John concert. Maybe it is time to hang up your hat, mate. I hope he is OK.”</p> <p>Johnson also made it very clear that he did not believe Molly’s excuse and apology. “I thought his apology was false. I don’t believe it was a wardrobe malfunction,” he said.</p> <p>“I believe that if it was a wardrobe malfunction, we would have seen his undies not his bum.</p> <p>“For years, I have not said anything. I don’t want to say anything. Who are his minders? Is he OK? He should not be allowed out in the PM.</p> <p>“He has two shots of vodka in his coffee in the morning. The Chase contestant ridiculed over conspiracy theories

<p>A contestant on <em>The Chase</em> has stunned Larry Emdur with her belief that the moon landing was faked. </p> <p>On Thursday night's episode of the quiz show, new mum Laura told the host that she loved "conspiracy theories".</p> <p>“Aliens, love anything to do with space and all that kind of thing,” she said.</p> <p>“Do you believe that man has walked on the moon?” Emdur asked.</p> <p>“No,” she replied.</p> <p>“Absolutely not?” Emdur said.</p> <p>“No I don’t, I think that was a conspiracy,” Laura said.</p> <p>Quickly trying to end the conversation, Larry said, “I wish you lots of luck.”</p> <p>Starting the round of rapid fire questions, Larry's first question was described as "peak comedy".</p> <p>He asked, “The first person to set foot on the moon was US astronaut Neil who?”</p> <p>Without hesitation, Laura said, "Armstrong".</p> <p>The clip of the encounter has made the rounds online, with a flood of people calling out the conspiracy theorist guest. </p> <p>One person on Reddit said, “She should’ve answered, ‘Actor Neil Armstrong.’”</p> <p>Another added, “I KNOW the truth but I’m here for the money!” another said.</p> <p>Someone else demanded, “Give back the $2000!”</p> <p><em>Image credits: The Chase</em></p>

Beloved US musician and his wife found dead on desert road

<p>A beloved US musician and his wife have been found dead near California under mysterious circumstances. </p> <p>Larry Petree and his wife Betty, who had been married for more than 60 years, were found dead on a desert road in a bizarre tragedy, leaving family members wondering what happened.</p> <p>“When deputies arrived, they found the bodies of an adult male sitting in the driver’s seat and adult female leaning against the rear tire,” the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said.</p> <p>Criminal activity is not suspected in the case, so homicide detectives didn‘t respond to the scene, while investigators added that it appeared the couple had run out of petrol. </p> <p>It is unclear where the couple were heading, and an official cause of death has yet to be revealed. </p> <p>Larry was known for his musical talents and played the pedal steel guitar, contributing to the iconic Bakersfield Sound era.</p> <p>He was playing shows in the area up until his passing, with Larry‘s final show being with a band called The Soda Crackers.</p> <p>“We had the honour of having Larry as our steel guitarist at our first ever show in Bakersfield and had the even greater honour of playing with him for his last show a few weeks ago,” the band wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.</p> <p>“We send our condolences to the Petree family and the greater Bakersfield Sound community.”</p> <p>Larry’s cousin, Laurie Sanders, told The Californian that Larry had been disoriented recently and got lost when attending his own gig. </p> <p>He failed to show up for the performance, and a family friend had to pick him up and take him to the concert. </p> <p><em>Image credits: Facebook</em></p>

Meet Australia’s newest and youngest Chaser

<p dir="ltr">There is a new <em>Chaser</em> on the block and she is not here to play nicely. </p> <p dir="ltr">Enter Mara Lejins, only 27, and Australia’s youngest Chaser on popular TV show <em>The Chase</em>.</p> <p dir="ltr">One look and you’d actually think she’s Elle Woods from Legally Blonde thanks to her blonde hair and pink outfit. </p> <p dir="ltr">But don’t underestimate the innocent look as she has been dubbed The Smiling Assassin. </p> <p dir="ltr">“I only smile when I’m trying to take down contestants - that’s why I’m always smiling,” she says with a grin.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Smiling Assassin joins the top guns on the show - Goliath, The Governess, The Beast, The Shark, The Super Nerd and The Tiger Mum - who have long been putting contestants in their place in the competition. </p> <p dir="ltr">Host Larry Emdur told <em>The Morning Show</em> that people are fooled by Mara’s looks and when she attacks it’s “impressive”.</p> <p dir="ltr">“She’s so disarming,” he said. </p> <p dir="ltr">“She comes out, ‘oh doesn’t she look lovely’, and then BANG, she is across everything.”</p> <p dir="ltr">In a funny twist of events, Mara appeared in the show’s spinoff series <em>Beat The Chasers</em> in 2020 where she won a huge $58,000. </p> <p dir="ltr">Before that, she appeared as a contestant on <em>The Chase</em> in 2017 where she earned a whopping $20,000 for her team.</p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Images: Seven</em></p>

How Lisa Wilkinson “betrayed” Larry Emdur

<p dir="ltr">Larry Emdur is in the middle of spilling <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/books/larry-emdur-opens-up-on-feud-with-rove-mcmanus" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hot goss</a> about the industry and fellow colleagues as he promotes his new book, <em>Happy As</em>.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Channel Seven host appeared on the <em>I’ve Got News For You</em> podcast and spoke about how Lisa Wilkinson “betrayed” him.</p> <p dir="ltr">Emdur explained that he was trying to coach Wilkinson into taking a seat on then <em>Weekend Sunrise</em> as his co-host.</p> <p dir="ltr">A few weeks after her audition for the morning program, Emdur introduced Wilkinson to Karl Stefanovic at the Logies.</p> <p dir="ltr">And it was from there that Emdur’s “beef” with Stefanovic began, after Karl stole Wilkinson to be his co-host instead on <em>The Today Show</em>.</p> <p dir="ltr">“In the weeks after that audition, I introduced Lisa to Karl Stefanovic at the Logies,” Emdur said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“And then he went about his sneaky little ways, which he does, and he somehow dragged Lisa over to the Today Show.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Despite all this, Emdur insists there are no hard feelings because it turned out to be the “right move” for Wilkinson, who ended up co-hosting <em>The Today Show</em> for 10 years beside Stefanovic.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I think Lisa had different things to do other than The Morning Show at the time, so it was a reasonable move and actually made sense, so we went back to audition a few more people and eventually landed with Kylie (Gillies) on the couch, which was just a magnificent result.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Emdur said he and Wilkinson continue to “laugh about it all the time”.</p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Images: Getty</em></p>

Larry Emdur opens up on "feud" with Rove McManus

<p dir="ltr">Larry Emdur has spilled the beans on his “long-running feud” with one of Australia’s best-loved TV personalities in his new book.</p> <p dir="ltr">In his Happy As memoir, Larry recalls how his feud with Rove McManus began after Wheel of Fortune was cancelled, and Emdur looked for someone to blame. </p> <p dir="ltr">“Naturally, I blamed it entirely on Rove. And so began our long-running feud,” he wrote.</p> <p dir="ltr">“We’ve sumo-wrestled, we’ve taunted each other on social media, we’ve had a boxing match which only ended when I punched him in the dick. But I still consider him one of my great mates.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“Early one morning, Rove even took it upon himself to appear in the big window behind Kochie and Mel Doyle on Channel 7’s Sunrise with a huge handwritten sign that said: SAVE LARRY.”</p> <p dir="ltr">In the memoir, Emdur shares his first meeting Rove in detail, outside of a garage.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Hi, I’m Rove!” said the incredibly enthusiastic, smiley young guy who shook my hand at the garage door. Larry Emdur's big property pay day

<p>Channel 7’s Larry Emdur and wife Sylvie have pocketed $4.3 million from the sale of their luxurious home in The Rocks.</p> <p>The warehouse conversion sold before auction through their estate agent son Jye Emdur. The dwelling was built in 1924 and previously sold in 2017 for $3.19 million, after their Dover Heights clifftop home was purchased for a record setting $11.5 million.</p> <p>Located on Gloucester St near the southern end of the Harbour Bridge, the Tanner Kibble Denton Architects-designed apartment combines the original fabric of the building with a luxury New York feel. The apartment has two bedrooms, which have open ­ensuites.</p> <p>Emdur is off to live in Darling Point in an apartment purchased from Naomi Penny, the widow of Professor Ron Penny, who pioneered clinical immunology.</p> <p>Edmur plans to launch his memoir in August. Happy as, reflecting on his younger days and the path to his current career.</p> <p><em>Images: Real Estate.com.au</em></p>

<p dir="ltr">Aussie TV personality Larry Emdur has opened up about his tumultuous career - describing himself as “Australia’s most axed host” - in his new biography, <em>Happy As</em>.</p> <p><span id="docs-internal-guid-b955e1b0-7fff-6868-cd13-e8f711709bab">The <em>Morning Show</em> host has revealed how he and his wife rode the dips and peaks in his career - from cancelled shows and contract negotiations to fame and fortune and even hosting <em>The Morning Show</em>.</span></p> <p dir="ltr">“There’s a picture of you walking along the beach sadly with your dog under the headline: ‘Axed’,” he told <em><a href="https://www.heraldsun.com.au/lifestyle/smart/the-morning-shows-larry-emdur-releases-memoir-happy-as/news-story/19fc8a683caf8198a67eb18f52cccbc9" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Telegraph</a></em>, referring to the end of <em>The Main Event</em> in 1992.</p> <p dir="ltr">“It’s very difficult to explain (how that feels), but what I did say to (my wife) Sylvie, when we first got serious was, ‘Look, this is the business. And I can’t bank on it. I can only look for the next contract, and that can sometimes take three to six months’.</p> <p dir="ltr">“What I could guarantee was that when things went bad, I wouldn’t sit around waiting for the call. We’d instead go on an adventure. We’ve seen careers end so quickly in this business. Sometimes it’s an obvious reason and other times it’s just for a change of scenery or a change of whatever, whoever.</p> <p dir="ltr">“That happens all the time. I’ve seen it happen. It’s happened to me. It’s happened to people sitting next to me.”</p> <p dir="ltr">His new biography also acts as a nostalgic trip back to his childhood in Bondi, including some painful memories of his beloved father, who died 15 years ago.</p> <p dir="ltr">“We were fishing and surfing buddies. <p>Famed Channel 7 personality Larry Emdur, and his wife Sylvie have are parting ways with their luxurious home in Sydney's exclusive Rocks district – and it is an absolute cracker.</p> <p>After briefly trying to find a buyer via private appointment inspections, the New York-style warehouse conversion is coming up for auction.</p> <p>The vast open layout is a creation of Tanner Kibble Denton Architects, who have fused the original feel of the building with a luxury New York vibe, in a warehouse in Sydney’s Rocks precinct.</p> <p>Containing a two-car garage and private lift entry, the apartment has two bedrooms, each with open-style ­ensuites.</p> <p>The host of Seven’s The Chase Australia and co-host of The Morning Show is off to live in Darling Point. This follows the couple’s recent whole-floor 200sqm-plus apartment purchase off the widow of Professor Ron Penny, the pioneer of clinical immunology, who passed away in 2019.</p> <p>The Emdurs originally purchased The Rocks apartment in 2017 after their Dover Heights clifftop home was bought by accountant ­Anthony Bell for a record­-breaking $11.5 million.</p> <p>The warehouse cost $3.09 million in the conversion of a 1924 building that was once the Sydney depot for the Cadbury confectionary company. You are beyond pathetic!”</p> <p>The vitriolic post came after Queensland Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll confirmed reports of looting at Bundamba, Goodna and Blackstone, west of Brisbane.</p> <p>“I cannot overstate how disappointed and disgusted I am that this has occurred in areas where people have had to leave their houses,” Commissioner Carroll said.</p> <p>“Through this operation, we will ensure there is a strong police presence in flood-affected areas to protect our community against heartless thieves.</p> <p>“Our message to anyone thinking about stealing from homes or businesses is that you can expect police to track you down and ensure you are held responsible for your actions.”</p> <p>Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the looters’ behaviour was “absolutely outrageous”.</p> <p>“The police commissioner was telling me that some people in the Ipswich area were going in and looting while people were homeless,” the premier told reporters.</p> <p>“I don’t know where it stops.”</p> <p>“These people have got to have a good, hard look at themselves ...
